Here we are! The second edition of my newsletter "Off the mat" is ready to be released in the outside world.
The designer in me really feels more comfortable with this mean of communication. I love sharing stuffs that are meaningful to me in a graphic way and it comes more easily to me than blogging.
As mentioned before, this newsletter was initially born as a mean of communication with my students from my own weekly class in Greenwich. But I feel like it is also a way to show how yoga doesn't mean to me posting fancy poses in fancy clothes (or even half naked!) on Instagram. I feel like a lot of yoga related accounts tend to make people feel uncomfortable with themselves, myself included. Either because the athletic or challenging poses they see don't resonate with their interest in yoga, or because it makes them feel like they're not enough, or not "beach-body-ready" enough
or because their surroundings don't look as exotic as a terrace by a pool.
Let's just remind that yoga is a personal practice, but furthermore, a personal journey.
Practicing yoga also means practicing non-attachment and it's not only related to material things.
So let's bring more self-care into it and remember that yoga is sooo much more than a physical practice.
And in case you needed to read it today, you are enough, you are exactly where you need to be and you are perfectly unique.
Now have a quick read, put the track on, do some mindful breathing and let your mind take you into your favorite safe spot. That's the best and cheapest way to travel! I'll happily meet you somewhere along the way!
